In addition to regular classroom teachers, we use Spanish, music, library, therapy, and athletics instructors. Our educational aides are all qualified teachers. The devotion and professionalism of the personnel is exceptional. The students at La, Motte School do effectively academically and are continuously challenged. We use a strenuous academic program, based on the state standards and finest practices in mentor.
We pursue quality in all that we provide at La, Motte. An After School Program is provided in addition to intramural sports of basketball, volleyball and track.
Upon being worked with, all officers begin with three weeks of preliminary training covering various topics. All entry level officers go to the fundamental program which includes 12 weeks of academic and physical training. All lateral officers from other states must submit their certifications and pass an equivalency program to be exempt from attending the standard program. All lateral officers licensed in Montana are exempt from participating or attending any part of this program. All officers take part in a 14-week field training program, partnering with experienced field training officers (FTOs). Lateral officers will begin this program immediately after the preliminary training.
All officers must effectively finish an one-year probationary period to continue their employment with the Bozeman Police Department. All officers get continuous training and accreditations in many locations and disciplines. Officers appointed to particular tasks or tasks within patrol receive training special to their task. This consists of training particular to such responsibilities as Field Training Officer, Mountain Bike Officer, Motorbike Officer, Special Response Employee, Elder (Intoxilyzer) Operator, Crisis Intervention Employee, and many others. It also consists of opportunities to be trained as a department instructor in such things as firearms, protective methods, Squad car Operations Course, and various other disciplines.
This consists of such positions as Residential or commercial property Crimes Investigator, Crimes Versus Persons Detective, School Resource Officer, Neighborhood Resource Officer, and Missouri River Drug Task Force Investigator.
