My 13 years of age child went to look for her dumbbell and it was not there, wasting a number of seconds. When the competition was over, the owner/MC (not her judge) told her he'll provide her an additional associate for their mistake. The owner/MC translated a "appearance" on her face and as she strolled off he turned on his microphone and announced to the health club something along the lines of, "we'll repair our mistakes, but if you wish to get an attitude in here then we'll throw you out of here".
He admitted it remained in reaction to my daughter's "appearance" she provided him and said she had a poor mindset. I told him that was so unprofessional and why wouldn't he address his misinterpretation of a 13 years of age girl's facial expression with her and her moms and dads rather than attempting to daunt her in front of an entire gym.
I went to the front desk and wished to notify somebody in charge about this jerk. Turns out the man is the owner. I wanted to have a face to face with this guy to resolve what happened and why. Along with how to prevent things like this in the future.
I quickly found out that speaking with this man will most likely not be efficient. He does not take positive criticism well. He is really defensive. He needs to have the last word. Based on his reactions to negative criticism, it appears that he thinks he has nothing however excuses, and those should be left at the door.
If you go to most crossfit boxes, you will discover that this is usually such an uplifting and positive environment. Anyone can participate in this sport- old, young, athletic, not athletic. It's everything about the relationships you build and those around you who inspire you to be your best! There is Iron Tribe Fitness for his habits today.
I/we made an error by eliminating your devices and then misinterpreting a "look" and publicly calling out a kid who was tired from exercising". This was definitely not a typical experience in crossfit. I dislike that there are gyms/boxes out there that believe dealing with people (specifically kids) like that is appropriate.
