Think of things like neighborhood and developers as one, or digital commerce as a second, or constructing out the next set of computing platforms, like virtual and enhanced reality, to provide people that notice of presence. I think all of these different efforts that we have at Facebook today will essentially ladder up together to contribute to helping to build this metaverse vision.
And obviously, all of the work that we're doing across the apps that people use today contribute straight to this vision in regards to structure neighborhood and developers. So there's a lot to jump into here. I wonder what direction you wish to take this in. But this is something that I'm spending a great deal of time on, believing a lot about, we're working on a lot.
Well, what I'm ecstatic about is helping people provide and experience a much stronger sense of existence with individuals they care about, individuals they deal with, the places they want to be. And the reality is that today with the mobile internet, we currently have something that a great deal of individuals gain access to from the minute they get up to when they go to sleep.
So I do not believe that this is mostly about being engaged with the web more. I believe it's about being engaged more naturally. And Try This , I consider the computing platforms that we have. We have these phones. They're fairly small. A great deal of the time that we're investing, we're basically moderating our lives and our communication through these little, glowing rectangular shapes.
A lot of the meetings that we have today, you're looking at a grid of faces on a screen. That's not how we process things either. We're utilized to being in a room with people and having a sense of space where if you're sitting to my right, then that means I'm likewise sitting to your left, so we have some shared sense of space in common.
