Neptune Video Creation — Creativity Meets Business Strategy

A few months ago, I was contacted by a videographer from Norfolk, Virginia who wanted to shoot an informational video for a local non-profit group. The videographer explained that he had a special camera that he needed to complete the project. The company that he was working for needed a graphic designer to create the graphic and editing of the video, which is what he specializes in. I explained to him that I could help him with a few things so he could create an informative video for the non-profit and asked if he would like to explain how he could use our Neptune video creation services to his client.

We had a long phone conversation and I asked him what his idea for the video was. He said that he needed a video explaining why the non-profit would want to sponsor a leadership award and he asked if I could send him a couple of samples to review so he could get a good idea of what kind of content he was getting as an advantage. I sent him back several examples including one that he had sent me from the Blue Alliance and one from the Environmental Defense Network. He told me that he really liked the videos and felt that they did a good job of combining information, humor, and effective communication.

The next week he informed me that he had received a very positive response from one of the executives at the non-profit and wanted to tell me more about the video and what he thought of it. He also told me that he was really impressed with one of the videos from the Blue Alliance that was part of their portfolio, which was also received in a timely manner. This talented videographer is a full-time local photographer who has helped several small businesses obtain funds through the Autism Technology Assistance Partnership (ASTAP), a grant that supports beach small business development in Virginia Beach, as well as several other areas across the United States.
