What is Tamper Evident Packaging?

Tamper evident packaging is a type of packaging that has a visible pattern, seal, or other design on it that can be used to identify tampering. It is often used for items that are considered perishable, such as food. It is sometimes also used for prescription drugs and medications to prevent misuse or theft.

In Canada, the United States, Australia and other countries, tamper evident packaging may be required by law if a product falls under the Food and Drugs Act or the Medicines Act.
