The motherboard may be the central unit of the computer system. It holds the motherboard components and helps in CPU operation through PCI slot. Motherboard also holds the storage components like RAM, IDE, hard disk etc., that really help in the operation of the PC. On the contrary, it is an integrated circuit controller. It controls and transfers signals involving the CPU and other components. This controller helps in providing instructions to the CPU to use a computer system.
Memory is one of many components of some type of computer system unit. It holds data and instructions to the CPU and helps it to operate the computer.
