Women's fashion during this age was defined by an embrace of African American, Latin American, Asian, Native American, Chicano, and Middle Eastern styles which were actually quite popular before this period of time. Women's fashion during this era was often vibrant and creative, like the work of artist and designer remembered by the name of Coco Chanel. Women's fashion in this era often involved vibrant colours and extravagant patterns which were fresh and innovative, even for the time period.

Women's fashions began to change again in the early twenty-first century. Women's clothing manufacturers began to produce clothes for a more fashionable, up-to-date kind of lady, who desired clothing with a more trendy, modern appearance. Women's fashions once more included elegant gowns, skirts, blouses, pants, and jeans. Women's fashion throughout the late twentieth century, was once more dictated by economic necessity. Women's fashions, once again, included elegant dresses, dresses, blouses, pants, and jeans.
