There's nothing quite like having their very own words to describe the otherwise obvious truth about pet food in terms which are both useful and accurate. It all began with that (not quite insulting) commercial. These pet food or flavor enhancers attract animals to eat food or treats that while still nutritious will also be tincture of their normal diet. The impacts of these are always positive out of a dog's point of view.
So then, how did this'invention' of pet food flavoring happen? To answer that question we'd need to go back to when man started creating foods for themselves. This is the time when there was no such thing as pet food and people would search and collect their own foods from the wild. But if you take into account the sorts of ingredients which were commonly used then they were rather distinct from those which are in use today.
For instance, wild snacks included meat from wild birds or pigs and berries out of berries that could only be seen in the wild, such as blackberries or hazelnuts. But, people found ways to alter those components into meat byproducts such as bacon. In fact, the main ingredient in pet food that's considered to trigger cancer was a derivative of the meat used to create the bacon! And another interesting truth is that these inclusions are contained in human foods since prehistoric times... and even back into prehistoric times!
There are lots of types of chemical additives and preservatives and herbicides which are added to pet foods. These can change the amino acid composition of this product causing your cat or dog to become overweight. The liquid is packed with sugars and starches, but minus the fiber structure which can continue to keep these unwanted ingredients from being spilled. This leads to the weight percentage reduction from the first few days and the pet will definitely begin to gain weight! The creature is not getting the necessary nutrition and so is not burning off the extra calories. It's imperative to utilize these chemicals in moderation and introduce them slowly to prevent digestive upset.
