Well, it all started with this (not quite stern ) commercial. These pet food or taste enhancers attract animals to consume food or snacks which while still nutritious will also be tincture of the natural diet. So then, how did this'innovation' of pet food flavoring happen? To answer that question we would need to go back to when man began creating foods for themselves. And yet another interesting fact is that these inclusions are included in human foods since prehistoric times... and even back into ancient times!

There are many types of chemical additives and preservatives and herbicides that are added to pet foods. These can alter the amino acid makeup of this product causing your cat or dog to become obese. The liquid is full of sugars and starches, but minus the fiber structure that could continue to keep these unwanted ingredients from being digested. This leads to the weight percent decrease from the first couple of days and the pet will surely begin to lose weight! The creature is not getting the necessary nourishment and so is not burning off the extra calories. It is vital to utilize these substances in moderation and introduce them gradually to prevent gastrointestinal upset.
