Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Plastic Outdoor Chairs Now that the weather condition is beginning to turn nice around here, our attention and time is invested more outdoors. We just recently hauled out our table, chairs and swimming pool furniture from our winter storage shed. We have a number of different types of chairs and amongst them are some old Adirondack ones.
They appear to last for about a couple of seasons and after that they fade and break down and rapidly look awful. Last summer, I was considering whether to hold onto them another season or toss them out with our area recycling program. I chose to chalk paint one of them and see if that could restore them.
It appears that the paint remained on the chair and miraculously it also didn't fade. I had the ability to touch up some areas with no color changes. So, More Discussion Posted Here painted the other chair and now we have 2 gorgeous seats that are now poolside. Hooray for Annie Sloan chalk paint.
All summer season, the 2 chairs sat side by side one green and old and the other a beautiful dark linen color. My family understands that I tend to take a while to complete my tasks! Oh well, better late than never! For this job, I utilized Annie Sloan's French Linen Chalk Paint.
